Default Mind Shock spike

I came u witht his while I was DLing the update, my fault for logging on when school was out. The DL took soo long, but any way.

Originally I had the standard Shields up, Dolyak sig, spammer but the occasional earthebind didn't sound bad, lively at 39% with all the healing sounded pretty good.

Elementalist/Monk
Level: 20

Energy Storage: 11 (10+1)
Air Magic: 15 (11+4)
Healing Prayers: 10

- Mind Shock [Elite] (Air Magic)
Target foe suffers 50 lightning damage. If you have more Energy than target foe, that foe suffers 50 additional lightning damage and is knocked down. This Spell has 25% armor penetration and causes Exhaustion.
Energy:10 Cast:1 Recharge:20

- Lightning Orb (Air Magic)
Lightning Orb flies toward target foe and strikes for 100 lightning damage if it hits. This Spell has 25% armor penetration.
Energy:15 Cast:2 Recharge:5

- Lightning Strike (Air Magic)
Strike target foe for 50 lightning damage. This Spell has 25% armor penetration.

- Dwayna's Kiss (Healing Prayers)

Unfortunatley, I couldn't find the peeps to pull this off, which after 5 months for trying to create a guild with a friend we have throw in the towel.

It's actually a very similar build to the Mo/E spike, and if you can find ppl who can get past the Zaishen with 700 points of dmg, you might do all right, personally, IDK.

We ended up throwing condition removal in there, but I didn't save that part in my GW freaks.

Sorry the mind shocks go in order, similar to a SoJ spike, 1 Mind Shock 3 light orbs per spike. Yeah it takes some coordination but not that much.

Few points:

It IS hard to read....Is BiP your only e-management whatsoever or did I miss something? Not enough, especially with amount of saccing needed. He is a bit energy tense...Heal Party?

These /Mo, any condition removal? Mayhaps I missed it?

No blinding on air eles?

Its a Nice Spike Damage Wise, But i can see this having big problems pretty quick, with the exaustion from Mind Shock you Will Be Crippled Very, Very Fast


The Eles need to have 50+ Energy for the spike to do the damage required, assuming they have 80 to start with, you will only spike 3, prehaps 4 times before you lose 50% of your damage, making your spike moot

Also Lightning Strike is redundant, you use Lightning orb then a 1s cast spell

I Just cant see this working, theres too many energy management problems even with BIP (Bip Does Squat when your Spiking ever 5-10s, racking up exaustion), using some for healing as well, you'll be drained in less than 30 seconds, and Air Spikes work better on Mesmers

We did that for a laugh a few nights ago, or that's how it started out. "Mindway" spike, with a Mind Burn, a Mind Freeze and a couple of Mind Shocks. Seriously awesome at ladder farming, with half decent players. A lot of fun

Basically it was killing through infuse, if the infuse was even fast enough to catch the 7-man spike. I cried. The only weakness of the build is its ability to, well, live. But sick damage, nonetheless.
